The Early Years Alliance has recently joined the Early Education and Childcare Coalition (EECC) which has been formed with the goal of challenging political parties to be more ambitious in their approach to Early Education reforms.

Formed by the gender equality think tank The Women’s Budget Group and funded by charitable foundation the Kiawah Trust, the initiative endeavours to tackle gender and educational inequality whilst hoping to shape future policy for the early years sector, utilising voices, insight and expertise of leading early years professionals.

The EECC currently consists of 30 leading organisations and charities and includes; Save The Children, Early Years Alliance and UNICEF.

CEO of The Early Years Alliance, Neil Leitch says;

“The formation of this coalition could not come at a more pivotal moment for the early years. There is no doubt that having so many voices from across the education, children’s, parenting, and business sectors come together in this way sends a hugely powerful message to the government about the vital importance of early education and care. “
