Spotlight on Self Regulation in the Early Years
The topic of self regulation is being increasingly heard in discussions in relation to the early years, not least because of it’s appearance, in the revised EYFS. Self regulation is a complex set of interrelated skills which are critical for life long development and well being.
This series of 2 webinars will help to bring about a clearer understanding of what is meant by self regulation and how it is vital that a full understanding is held and shared by practitioners. The work of Dr Stuart Shanker, will be used to explain and explore this.
There will also be opportunity to consider what practitioners can do to encourage and nurture all aspects of self regulation in the children they work with. Specific reference will be made to the possible impact of recent events on the development of self regulation.
There will be a reflective task to carry out between the two sessions.
The webinar will take place on the following dates and times:
Session 1: 2nd December, 7pm-8.30pm
Session 2: 9th December, 7pm-8.30pm
Trainer: Julie Revels
