This course will help you to understand some of the difficulties that children may have when English is not their first language, and enable you to develop strategies to support them
Learning Objectives:
- To recognise the difficulties EAL children may encounter in settings
- To develop strategies to support EAL children within your setting
- To gain an understanding of the importance of effective partnerships with the parents and families of children who do not speak English as their first language
- To identify good practice and share ideas for promoting the development of children who speak English as an Additional Language
