Early Years practitioners have faced a period of significant change over the last 3 years. The revised EYFS and ELGs, the introduction of the statutory baseline assessment, an increased focus on curriculum, and the recently published Ofsted "research" review, the publication of Birth to 5 Matters and Development Matters 2020, significant disruption due to Covid and a huge funding crisis. There's never been a more challenging time to work in the sector.

This conference aims to bring those with a passion for Early Years together, to focus on what really matters for our youngest children. An opportunity to reflect, discuss and share ideas about effective early years practice.

Aaron Bradbury and Ruth Swailes are the co-editors of "Early Childhood Theorists Today" , a bestselling book exploring well - known and contemporary theorists and their impact on our pedagogy.

Aaron and Ruth will share their knowledge of child development, drawn from years of working in and with the Early Years sector in various roles, and share some practical ideas to support delegates to use this knowledge to shape their practice in a way that meets the needs of children and is fully compliant with the statutory framework.

Dr Valerie Daniel is an experienced and highly successful Nursery Headteacher. She will be sharing her experiences of developing a curriculum for her schools with practical ideas to support delegates to think and reflect on their own curriculum.

In addition to the 3 Keynote speeches, delegates will be able to select a workshop to attend.

Refreshments will be provided, the ticket price does not include of lunch, which will be available to order nearer the time at an additional cost, or delegates are welcome to bring their own.
