Rainbow Talk – Empowering Children’s Language in Early Years
Rainbow Talk is a fun, organised and creative way of encouraging talk and promoting thinking skills. It is effective with children of all abilities and ages, including EAL and SEND children from Early Years to Key Stage 2. It has proven to be especially effective in promoting boys’ talk and writing, and has transformed learning for reluctant talkers. Rainbow Talk supports children in becoming deeper thinkers and more confident and articulate talkers. Rainbow Talk is a fantastic ‘pre-P4C’ tool and is loved by the children.
Early Years Philosophy for Children (Rainbow Thinking) will enable the children to build upon their experiences from Rainbow Talk and empower them to use new vocabulary and a framework to engage and interact with others. It will help them to become more confident and to be able to discuss their thoughts and ideas with others, as well as being more able to take other ideas into account. The approach has been proven to help children to manage their own feelings and actions, leading to more positive and engaged learning behaviours.
Both Rainbow Talk and Rainbow Thinking lead into Rainbow Writing, using the resources from the day’s training. After this training delegates will feel prepared and have resources to start this exciting work with their children the very next day!
Course fee includes:
- Ideas, resources and training that you can use the next day in your classroom
