Music to Promote Wellbeing

Making music is a surefire way of promoting wellbeing. This highly enjoyable and accessible session focuses on ways of fostering wellbeing in both practitioners and children. You will learn winner songs, rhymes and activities. There will also be lots of ideas on how to make the most of this new material and the songs you already know.

Attendees will:

• Gain a repertoire of tried and tested multicultural songs, games and rhymes that is rich in content and that children enjoy
• Learn to provide opportunities for musical play and ideas for extending that play to foster every aspect of children’s development
•  Learn how this material promotes wellbeing as well as addressing each part of the EYFS statutory framework
• Learn simple ideas and techniques that increase their confidence in their innate musicality including help with developing lively rhythm work and using instruments

Recordings of the material in the course will be available to stream online.
