Who should attend this course?

Individuals who need to use Makaton in their work or who require in-depth Makaton training to support children and adults with communication needs, this is also an essential part of the entry criteria for Makaton Regional Tutor Training.

Requirements

Level 4 – entry requirement level 1, 2 & 3 must have been completed

What will I learn?

This course completes the learning of the core vocabulary signs and symbols. We concentrate on developing your Makaton skills through further development of interpretation and translation as well as looking at adapting Makaton to ensure inclusive approaches. You will revise signs and symbols from previous workshops and learn stages 7 & 8 from the core vocabulary.
