This course will support practitioners working with children and families to increase their knowledge and skills in effective communication with parents around developmental and/or safeguarding concerns

Learning Objectives:

• To identify children and families who would benefit from early intervention in the prevention of unnecessary escalation of issues or needs.
• To develop basic skills and strategies for approaching parents effectively in relation to offering early support
• To understand the key themes of a Strength Based Conversation
• To support parents in finding their own solutions
• To appreciate the importance and benefits of ongoing strength based communication
