Join us for the launch of the Cambridgeshire branch of Early Education with a session delivered by Julie Revels. There will be opportunities to get involved with helping the branch, making suggestions for future meetings, and to discuss the next steps for shaping the new branch to support practitioners in the locality.

Understanding how children develop the ability to regulate their emotions, thoughts and behaviour is a key to promoting strong social, emotional development as well providing the foundations for children’s capacity as life long learners.

This session will provide an introduction to aspects of neuroscience , which help us to understand how the brain and the nervous system work together as part of internal mechanism to support self- regulation. The role of the adult supporting children through co regulation will also be explored.

This course content is drawn from research from international sources such as the Harvard Centre for the Developing Child and the Mehrit Centre. This will be used to enhance the participants understanding and confidence.
