Early Education Aberdeen Branch Event with Dr Suzanne Zeedyk

Online Seminar with Dr Suzanne Zeedyk
Due to start 7:00 pm

In this seminar Dr Suzanne Zeedyk, an expert in parent-infant relationships, family support, communicative disorders, and the socio-political contexts that frame our responses to scientific information, will be arguing that young children’s experiences of the COVID lockdowns has affected their biological development across the cohort of Scottish children between the ages of birth and 5. As a sector we need to consider the consequences of this and ensure that all members of the early years sector are robustly knowledgeable about the processes of brain development, attachment, trauma and self-regulation. This is crucial to providing children with the experiences they require to recover from this unprecedented time if we are to fulfil the expectations of GIRFEC and the UNCRC, which now frame Scotland’s orientation to children’s needs.
