The Early Years Alliance has today published a manifesto for the new Government, ahead of the upcoming General Election, expected in 2024.

The manifesto recommendations cover a range of issues frequently highlighted in the sector; including funding, recruitment and retention, business rates and VAT, SEND provision, childminder funding rules and support for baby and toddler groups.

These recommendations shape the Early Years Alliance’s vision for an early years sector that has the needs of all children at its heart, provides a consistent pathway of support for families during the first five years of a child’s life and, crucially, recognises and values those working in the early years as education professionals.
